This is a fun little test for a syndrome called Asperger's. It looks long but can be done in just a few minutes.

This test told me that I belong on the short bus. LMAO

It's just for fun but now I know that I fit a personality type that grates on the nerves of the other extreme, the more normal people.

http://www.rdos.net/eng/Aspie-quiz.php

The main thing it tells me is that I need to learn a whole new set of rules to follow so I'l actully know when to STFU. LMAO  My current method obviously doesn't work.

I don't think this is good. Okay Chuck what does this mean?

Your Aspie score: 91 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 135 of 200

NT refers to people whose neurological development and state conforms to what most people would perceive as normal.

Okay so I just took a test that told me I'm normal.  LMAO

Thank you for filling out this questionnaire.

Your Aspie score: 132 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 74 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

Umm.. now....what was this for? Gilly lost.....

Because.... I used to babysit a kid with Asperger's, and he had a brother who was also autistic.... and I am nothing like him (or them, rather), or what I would say a person with aspergers behaves like, esp. if you note the basic "symptoms" of the syndrome.....ADD yes, Asperger's no.

The thing that bothers me about this test is they don't tell you what the scores mean or why the conclusion.

Chuck is there a home page for this website that gives more info. like who is behind the making of the test. Is it a case study or a factual test put together by legitimate professionals?

Okay Chuck, I'm a self proclaimed hypochondriac from way back when I used to read my dad's copy of the Merck manual. LOL  But I never came across Asperger's Syndrome.  Before I take this quiz, what's the medical definition of AS?  Any typos here are probably because I have Asperger's Syndrome, my new favorite disease!

I'll look to see if I can find out what the findings mean. It seems that people with a higher Aspie score are more likely to get along with people who have Asperger's Syndrome. They will have more in common. ADD is another disorder that comes up along with Asperger's. They actually belong to the same class of syndromes. A score of 133 might indicate a person who is imaginative and creative but does not necessarily have Asperger's. This person might however, suffer from ADD or ADHD.

Gilly, your score was still much closer to normal than mine was.

Another note, the doctors who are doing research on this find the incidence unusually higher among people of Gaelic descent. I'm mostly Scottish and Irish. There is another thing that often comes along with Asperger's, something that is called an occipital bun on the back of the head. They think that is caused by the brain growing faster than the skull will allow. WTF, whatever.

LMAO , mine too.

AS was discovered in 1944 but not classified until 1994.

The following is an excerpt from the below page.
Quote:
AS is an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), one of five neurological conditions characterized by difference in language and communication skills, as well as repetitive or restrictive patterns of thought and behavior. The four related disorders or conditions are Autism, Rett syndrome, childhood disintegrative disorder, and PDD-NOS (pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified).

Some information from Wikipedia about it.

Actually, I do have Asperger's syndrome.  But I'll take the test anyway and see what it says...

(later)  It says I am both Aspie and neurotypical.  I didn't know that was possible...

I should point out that online tests are known to be useless. This test on it's own means absolutely nothing. I'm not even saying that I have it. I have not been diagnosed with this. If I had I still wouldn't take any bull$&@% from people though.

The benefit of knowing if one has Asperger's is that it requires a whole set of tools to deal with that aren't needed for most people. This doesn't mean that people need to accommodate them. Just to get off of their backs. LMAO

I'm not trying to be mean when I say this, but please don't call it a disease.  It is not a disease.

I found out that the link above is the link to just the test page. The navigation page was left out. Here is the link to the correct page with Navigation and all the options to see the grouped results of the tests.

http://www.rdos.net/eng/

When the page opens look to the left and click on Aspie Quiz or the desired link.

I hope this will answer some questions. Very Happy

What a bunch of funny questions.....

this one cracked me up:

**Are you sometimes afraid in safe situations, yet fearless in situations which may actually be dangerous?**

Cause, ummm, THAT would be ME:)

Now I gotta go read and find out what this means:
(and maybe come back and edit it out of embarassment)  LMAO

Your Aspie score: 86 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 138 of 200
You are very likely neurotypical
